Suncaida Resort's outdoor ice skating rink is open to guests of all ages with a cash donation. 100% of all donations will benefit HopeSource, a non-profit organization that helps members of Kittitas County achieve self sufficiency. Sun Country Showshoe Run - Sun Country Golf Course
This run takes place at the Sun Country Golf Course in Cle Elum. Snowshoe rentals are available for $10, with the shoes available for convenient pickup at the start of the race. A typical snowshoe course has rolling terrain, with plenty of ups and downs to get your heart rate up. Our races have a 5K and 10K course, with the 10K consisting of two laps of the 5K course.
Have fun with this wild and crazy event where guests create costumed 'dummies' and send them skiing or snowboarding down the slopes of Prespector Golf Course. Prizes are awarded for Best Name, Best Dressed Dummy, Best Air, and Best Crash. Dummies can range from Seahawks figures exploding with skittles to Brides. Dummies will hit the slopes in a display of creativity and destruction!

Ellensburg Winterhop Brewfest

Ellensburg is hosting the 14th Annual WinterHop BrewFest so that beer lovers all over the country can sample beer from ove 30+ PNW Breweries in more than 12 venues in Historic Downtown Ellensburg. Tickets go on sale December 1st and are $40 each. Tickets include admission to the event, a commemorative tasting glass, and 5 scrip. An additional scrip can be purchased at the information trailer.

The Ellensburg Downtown Association has put together a calendar of events for November. These events include the annual Veterans Day Parade and lunch, a indoor Holiday Market, and the Ellensburg Floral holiday sip and shop. There are events going on throughout Kittitas County. Iron Horse Brewery Tour

The national event celebrated every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving is a way to encourage shoppers to support their local businesses. Many of the shops in Downtown Ellensburg are participating in this event. Customers are encouraged to wear plaid to celebrate the creativity and diversity of independent businesses. Cookie Scavenger Hunt
This fun family-friendly event is held on the same day as Plaid Friday where children and families can explore downtown Ellensburg while collecting a variety of candies and decorations to create their own, individual, holiday cookie. This unique and quirky event is hosted by the Ellensburg Downtown Association and MyEllensburg.com. The second annual snowball drop is a man-made blizzard that includes discounts, gifts, and give-aways. The snow is actually ping pong balls that each has a special from a local store. This free family event takes place at noon on Saturday, November 26th outside the rotary pavision on North Pearl Street in Downtown Ellensburg. CWU Ware Fair
November 29th - December 1st
The 43rd annual ware fair is held in the Central Washington University SURC. This arts and crafts festival brings vendors from all across the Pacific Northwest for three days of shopping, music, samples, and more. Running of the Elk 5K Walk/ Run
Each runner will be given a pair of antlers to begin the race. Runners will have an opportunity to complete their outfit throughout the run with a red nose and a bell. Upon completion, each participant will receive a warm beverage. Check-in begins at 9am. The race starts at 10am. The price for this race if you register online is $30 per person. If you register the day of the race, it's $35 per person. Please register online here.
Tree Lighting Celebration
The community tree in Dawson Park will be lit at 6pm. Guests can enjoy live holiday music, Christmas carols, holiday cookies, and... shhhh! We heard that Santa is supposed to make an appearance.

Gingerbread House Making

Huffman Farms U-Pick Pumpkin Patch
October 1st through 31st
This event is held every Saturday and Sunday in October from 10am to 4pm. At the Huffman Farm in Ellensburg, guests can choose their own perfect carving pumpkin straight from the vine.
Also guests can enjoy the other activities Huffman Farms has to offer. Guests can make their way through a corn maze, enjoy a petting zoo, and enjoy farm-fresh food from the Farm Kitchen Cafe.

Haunted Forest and Corn Maze
October 12th through 27th
Enter the haunted forest if you dare! This event is designed to scare you. Guests will enter the haunted forest where they will be met with jump scares, scary images, carnage, and more! This event is recommended for people 10 years old and older. Guests are encouraged to bring a flashlight to get from the parking lot to the Silo Cafe where they will buy their tickets.
Tickets will be sold until 9:45pm for $10 for children aged 12 years old and younger. Anyone over 12 years old can purchase a ticket for $12.
You will then be handed a lantern and enter the forest. Once you exit the forest, if you don't have to change your pants, you can hang out with the other survivors by our fire pit and make s'mores.

"Flocktober" and "Mill-o-ween"
This event is fun for the whole family and is held from 10am through 2pm. There is a pet costume contest happening at noon where the best dressed pets and owners will be awarded a prize for first and second place. Guests can also enjoy getting their face painted, painting a paper plate pumpkin, and decorate their very own cookie.
There is also a variety of food available for guests to snack on during the event.

Kids can walk through downtown Ellensburg to go from store to store to collect candy. The CWU Army and Air Force ROTC will be there to provide pedestrian safety at crosswalks. This event begins at 3pm and goes on until 6pm.
This family friendly event includes a costume contest, trick-or-treat, and a Pumpkin Party! Kids can create a dream catcher, carve and decorate their own pumpkin, and build a Halloween bear. Adults can have fun at Beary-Scary Bingo on Saturday from 7 to 9pm for only $10 per person.

There will be a kids Halloween parade starting at 5pm in Downtown Cle Elum. Afterwards kids can enjoy going trick-or-treating from store to store.

Suncadia Resort has hosted a Harvest Festival at Nelson Farm for thirteen years! This event lasts goes on for two weekends in October and is a celebration of everything fall. They have a corn maze, pumpkin picking, crafts, a petting zoo, pony rides, fall sports, food trucks, face painting, and live music. Kids and kids-at-heart will both enjoy the fun-filled days at the Harvest Festival!
Big Dirty Run
Suncadia also hosts the Big Dirty Run, happening this year on Sunday, October 14th. This is not your traditional 5K run. Runners will have to run, walk, crawl, and climb to get through their course, which goes through the messy and muddy back trails of Suncadia’s Nelson Preserve neighborhood. This is definitely not a run for the neat-freaks as participants are known to finish the run absolutely covered in mud. Once you cross the finish line, you’ll be rewarded with an ice-cold glass of beer (or root beer for those under 21). Tickets are available now on the Suncadia Resort website.

Summer in Cle Elum means warm weather, swimming at the lake, and the Backyard BBQ Summer Saturdays event from Suncadia Resort! Every Saturday in July and Augustin, the Suncadia Nelson Dairy Farm will host a Backyard BBQ. This event includes live music, a menu of delicious BBQ, beverage tastings, and even some kid-friendly fun. Bring your own sunscreen and lawn chair, and they’ll supply the good times! You can pre-purchase tickets for $15 for adults and $10 for kids ages 3 to 12. If you purchase at the door, tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for kids. 4th of July
Celebrate this nation’s independence during your Suncadia stay! The fun lasts for the whole week of the 4th, and includes fun for the entire family. This event, like the Backyard BBQ event, is held at Suncadia’s Historic Nelson Farm and includes live music, a hay maze, a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, pony rides, food trucks, beer garden, and so much more! There’s even pumpkin archery! You won’t want to miss this event.
Suncadia’s longest festival is Winterfest. Typically starting after Thanksgiving in late November, Winterfest extends to the end of the year. It includes Christmas-themed events, like breakfasts with Santa and holiday dinners, as well as winter activities like ice skating, and rope-tow inner tubing.
